I was searching for a house for about 3 years. If you know me, you know that I am extremely picky. I was looking for a modern home. I really do not like traditional houses. However, modern houses are extremely expensive and typically in areas that I do not want to live in. I really enjoy the suburbs. Nonetheless, I finally found the perfect place. I think its important to focus on your credit when you are young. Save your money. Invest. Don't get into debt and spend all of your money on a car. All of these things will help you get that house you want. I chose to go with a new construction right before the pandemic. Home prices have skyrocketed since early 2020. I am happy to answer questions or give advice to any young folks looking to buy for the first time.

For my Birthday this year, I purchased a Cartier Santos. This watch was pretty much a bucket list item. One of my favorite movies is Wall Street. In the film, Michael Douglas played a character named Gordon Gekko. His character symbolized wealth. I really admired his style and watch in the movie. I always told myself that I would buy the same watch one day. If you read my post about my Rolex, you will see that I do not like attention. So, I decided to get this watch in two tone as well. It comes with a strap if you really want to be low key. I have only had 2 people notice this watch while I was wearing it. One was a jeweler and another owned a flooring company. Again, this is how it should be in my opinion. Expensive things should not always be extremely obvious. Buy things because you like them. Don't buy things because you want approval from others.

Back in 2019, I purchased my first Rolex. I have always admired the brand, even before I could afford the watch. At the time, I had just started a new job. I noticed that a few of my coworkers had luxury watches. However, not all of them had models that I was familiar with. I learned something from this. I grew up heavily influenced by Hip Hop culture and around African Americans. In our community, "Bust Down" diamond Rolex watches and the Rolex Day-Date is very popular. However, those watches get too much unwanted attention in my opinion. Even people who are not into watches can recognize them. I wanted something that would make a statement, but only be recognized by people who are wealthy and into watches. This is when I came across the Datejust. I like this watch because it is two tone. It does not scream for attention like an all gold or diamond watch. You can wear it everyday and go unnoticed. The value of the watch has also gone up since I purchased it. I would recommend this watch to anyone who is extremely humble, but also into nice things. They make this watch in 36mm, which is a very classy size.
